Branislav Ivanovic’s contract at Chelsea runs out at the end of the season, meaning he can talk to other clubs in January and sign a pre-contract.
Inter Milan are apparently keen on Ivanovic.
Branislav Ivanovic hasn’t had the best of seasons so far and with the problems since the summer over negotiating a new deal, it is possible that he could depart.
Ivanovic wants a two-year deal, while Chelsea only want to offer him one, something which they do for over 30s now, although they did give Gary Cahill who turns 30 soon a new 4 year contract, a two-year extension on his current deal.
This will make is difficult for Chelsea, although they could say that a new one year contract would take him up to age 33 like Cahill’s. Of course they could do what they did to John Terry two years ago and tell him to take it or f***ing leave it.
Chelsea do apparently want to keep Ivanovic at the club.
Inter Milan are apparently confident of signing him. It remains to be seen, but Inter Milan will look to sign him up once the January transfer window opens up.
Where will Ivanovic be playing next season?
